Adobe has launched the Premiere mobile app on Android, bringing its professional video editing tools to millions of Android users for free. The app is designed for creators who want to edit videos directly on their smartphones, with features including multi-track editing, Enhance Audio, 4K export and Firefly-powered generative AI tools. The Android launch follows the debut of Premiere mobile on iPhone last year. Adobe says the app has been designed to make professional-quality video editing more accessible to mobile-first creators.

Adobe Premiere mobile is now available on Android through the Google Play Store. The company says the app has been developed with creator feedback in mind, offering editing tools that can be used for vlogs, tutorials, podcast clips, social media videos and other short-form content. Premiere mobile features a multi-track timeline that allows users to layer video, music, voiceovers, text and effects within a single editing interface.
The app also offers frame-accurate editing, giving creators precise control over cuts. Adobe says this can be useful when synchronising edits with music, timing reactions or trimming footage to specific moments. Creators can also use templates to quickly start projects or customise their own edits.
One of the key features of Premiere mobile is Enhance Audio, which is designed to reduce distracting background noise and improve the clarity of interviews, voiceovers and other recordings. Adobe says the feature allows creators to clean up audio with a single tap, making it easier to produce clearer videos while recording in uncontrolled environments. The Android version of Premiere mobile supports video editing and exporting at up to 4K resolution. Users can also add effects, transitions, creative assets and music from Adobe Stock, their own files or extracted audio. Adobe says the app provides a no-ads, distraction-free and watermark-free editing experience, without forcing users to log in or upgrade to start creating. Premiere mobile also integrates Adobe Firefly-powered generative AI features, including Generative Fill, Image-to-Video and Generate Sound Effects.
These tools are designed to help creators generate and modify assets directly as part of their mobile editing workflow. Additional generative credits and storage are available through upgrades. Adobe also says more features are coming to Premiere mobile, including Adobe Fonts, enhanced captions, keyframes, cropping, beat detection and continued editing between Premiere mobile and the desktop version.
