Nokia 5.4 Spotted on Google AR Core Supported Devices List, Launch Imminent

The upcoming Nokia 5.4 smartphone with a Snapdragon 662 processor will support Google's AR Core services, as the same has been spotted on the Google AR Core supported devices list.


Nokia is reportedly in the works to launch a new mid-range Android smartphone, dubbed the. Not too long ago, we exclusively leaked the full specifications of the device and today, we have spotted the Nokia 5.4 on the Google AR Core Supported devices list, which not only confirms the Nokia 5.4 moniker, but also hints at an imminent launch. As seen in the above image, the Nokia 5.4 smartphone has recently been added to the Google AR Core supported devices list. This necessarily means that the Nokia 5.4 will have support for the various AR applications and Google will optimize the device for a “good user experience”. This is primarily related to sensitive motion tracking, which is done by combining the camera image and the motion sensor input to determine as to how the device moves through the real world.

Nevertheless, the AR Core certification has given us evidence that the moniker indeed exists and we can expect the launch to happen soon now. Speaking of the specifications of the device, the Nokia 5.4 will sport a 6.39-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 720 x 1,520 pixels. Under the hood, the Nokia 5.4 will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor, which will be clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.

In terms of optics, the Nokia 5.4 will make room for a quadruple rear camera setup, which will consist of a 48MP primary lens, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. At the front, the Nokia 5.4 will make room for a 16MP selfie snapper.

Coming to the battery of the device, the Nokia 5.4 will come with a 4,000mAh battery, which will drive juice via a USB Type-C charging port. The device will boot Android 10 OS out of the box.
