The signature WhatsApp green colour in the UI has been replaced with a shade of green that matches the WhatsApp logo. Moreover, the company has restricted the green to text, notifications, badges, and icons. Speaking of icons, WhatsApp has introduced new icons throughout the app with redesigned shapes and animations.

One of the biggest changes in the interface is moving the navigation bar on the Android app to the bottom to match the iOS version. This makes it convenient for Android WhatsApp users to access all tabs easily. As for iOS users, WhatsApp has introduced a new expandable tray in the attachment layout to make it easier to send media.

WhatsApp has also improved the dark mode on its platform to make it more AMOLED-friendly. The dark mode is no longer greenish-grey and is darker to make elements more legible. Users will also see the search bar at the top with Meta AI integration.

The Meta-owned chat platform has announced that the update is slowly rolling out and might not be available to everyone yet. However, we can expect the update to be available to all users in the coming days.
