Apple has quietly increased the price of its most affordable smartphone, the iPhone SE 2022. The company has increased the price of the SE 5G by Rs 6,000 for the base model. The iPhone SE 2022 was launched in India for Rs 43,900 earlier this year. Months after its launch, the SE 2022 is available for Rs 49,900. The price hike comes a day after Apple announced the iPhone 14 price in India, which starts at Rs 79,900 for the vanilla model.

The company did not reveal any official reasons behind the price hike but one can assume it to be the increasing gap between the value of the rupee against the US dollar. In addition to this, the rise in the price of components and logistics could also be factors contributing to the price hike.
