iQOO 11 Pro to Support 200W Fast Charging, Battery Details Also Revealed But No Update on Launch Date

It would not be a surprise if the iQOO 11 Pro 5G charges from zero to 100 per cent in less than 15 minutes.

iQOO 11 series was slated to launch on December 2. The company was expected to launch its new flagship smartphones — iQOO 11 and iQOO 11 Pro — in China. However, the launch was postponed a couple of days ahead of the big day. iQOO did not state the reason behind the postponement of the launch but it is being speculated that the decision was taken following the death of former Chinese President Jiang Zemin. The company is yet to announce the new launch date of its upcoming flagship smartphone series.

Meanwhile, iQOO has dropped a new teaser, which confirms the battery capacity and fast charging details of the 11 Pro 5G. The company, prior to the latest teaser, has only been teasing the launch of the iQOO 11 5G. However, the key specifications of the Pro model have leaked online in the past. Let’s take a look at the iQOO 11 Pro 5G confirmed and leaked specifications, features and other details ahead of its official launch.

iQOO 11 Pro 5G: What We Know So Far

iQOO 11 Pro will be the most premium smartphone offering from the brand for the first half of 2023. The company is likely to launch the phone in December 2022. The iQOO 11 Pro is tipped to launch in India in January 2023. The company is yet to comment on the India launch timeline rumours. Meanwhile, the company revealed that the iQOO 11 Pro will pack a 4700mAh battery under the hood. It will also support 200W fast charging out of the box. The teaser image also reveals that the phone will sport a curved display. There are antenna lines on the frame, suggesting that the Pro phone will feature a metal frame.

The iQOO 11 Pro packs a smaller battery than the vanilla model, which is confirmed to feature a 5000mAh unit. That being said, the vanilla model charges at 120W, which is still quite fast. It would not be a surprise if the 11 Pro 5G charges from zero to 100 per cent in less than 15 minutes, whereas the vanilla model could take around 25 minutes.

The iQOO 11 Pro 5G is tipped to sport a 6.78-inch E6 AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. While the display specs are the same as the vanilla model, the Pro model will sport a curved 2K display, whereas the vanilla variant will feature a flat screen with a 2K resolution.

The 11 Pro 5G is also tipped to sport a triple-camera setup on the back. There will be a 50MP f/1.75 primary Sony IMX866 sensor, a 50MP ultrawide camera with a 150-degree fisheye lens and a 13MP portrait sensor.  For selfies, the phone will feature a 16MP front camera.

Under the hood, there will be the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which comes with a peak clock speed of 3.2GHz. The device is said to launch with multiple RAM and storage options. iQOO is likely to launch the base variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone will also launch in 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB storage options. It will be available in Alpha, Legend and Mint Green colours. Lastly, the phone will boot Android 13-based Origin OS Forest in China.
