iQOO recently confirmed the launch date of the upcoming iQOO Neo 9and iQOO Neo 9 Pro smartphones in China. The launch date of the device was revealed through a teaser shared on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. iQOO also confirmed the launch of iQOO Watch and iQOO TWS 1e alongside the upcoming smartphones.
There were reports that iQOO will launch the upcoming Neo smartphones in India in Q1 of 2024. Now Mukul Sharma, a reliable tipster, has revealed the launch timeline of the iQOO Neo 9 Pro smartphone in India. The tipster also tells the chipset that will debut with the upcoming smartphones in India.

iQOO Neo 9 Pro India Launch Timeline
Mukul divulges through a new post in X (formerly Twitter) that iQOO will debut the upcoming Neo 9 Pro smartphone in India in January. iQOO will launch the Pro smartphone in India with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
Meanwhile, iQoo has confirmed that it will equip the Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro smartphones with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipsets in China, respectively. The move to switch to Qualcomm chipsets for the Indian markets reflects the preference of iQOO customers in India. Mukul also confirms that iQOO will debut the smartphone in India in all three colour options.
iQOO has also confirmed the display specifications of the upcoming Neo 9 series smartphones through a new teaser.
iQOO Neo 9 Series Expected Specifications
iQOO confirms that the forthcoming devices will feature an AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution. The panel will offer LTPO technology with a refresh rate of 144Hz. iQOO reveals that the display will be an all-weather super-sensing screen that can sustain over 100 hours of continuous touch.

The company aims to advance the gaming capabilities of the upcoming devices. The teaser also divulges that iQOO will equip the smartphones with chip-level smart eye protection 2.0. The OEM claims that the upcoming devices have received SGS dual certification for low flickering and reduced blue light emissions.
iQoo Neo 9 Geekbench listing spotted before launch
MySmartPrice’s team has also spotted the iQoo Neo 9 on GeekBench testing. It reveals Adreno (TM) 740 GPU, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, along with 16GB RAM and Android 14.
iQOO previously confirmed that the devices will be equipped with a Q1 Supercomputing chipset for enhancing the frame interpolation. iQOO debuted the flagship iQOO 12 5G smartphone with the same Supercomputing chipset.
The teasers shared by iQOO previously confirmed that the smartphone would debut in Fighting Black, Nautical Blue, and Red and White soul (translated from Chinese) colour options.
Tipster Digital Chat Station had earlier revealed that the Neo 9 will be available with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. In contrast, the Pro model will debut with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. iQOO is unlikely to debut the 24GB RAM variant in India.
The China teasers reveal that iQOO will equip the smartphones with dual rear cameras. These are likely to be 50MP Sony IMX 920 primary sensor and 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide sensors.
