A recent report from 91Mobiles revealed that iQOO will debut the iQOO Watch and iQOO TWS 1e at the event. iQOO has announced the launch date of the upcoming Neo 9 series smartphones through a new teaser video. The teaser video also reveals the colour options and design of the upcoming smartphone. iQOO also confirmed the launch of iQOO Watch and iQOO TWS 1e in a separate post.
iQOO Neo 9 Series: Launch Date, Expected Specifications
As per the teaser, iQOO will debut the forthcoming Neo 9 series on December 27 in China. The launch date was previously tipped through an alleged pre-order screenshot doing rounds on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. The teaser reveals that the event will start at 7 PM (UTC + 8) and will be live-streamed through the microsite created for the launch.
The teaser also confirms that iQOO will introduce the upcoming smartphones in black and blue colour options apart from the dual-tone variant with Red and White leather inserts. The brand is also offering a Bluetooth speaker, a 30-day return or exchange, and an exchange bonus for the customers pre-booking the upcoming Neo 9 series.
iQOO previously confirmed that it will equip the Neo 9 Pro smartphone with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset. The chipset is likely to pair with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. iQOO will also equip the Pro smartphone with the Q1 Supercomputing chip. To recall, iQOO offered its flagship iQOO 12 5G smartphone with the same Supercomputing chip to enhance the gaming performance.
iQOO confirms that the devices will sport the Blue Heart AI, which recently debuted with the Vivo S18 series smartphones. The upcoming smartphones will run Origin OS 4 based on Android 14 out of the box. MySmartPrice recently spotted the vanilla and Pro smartphones in 3C certifications with 120W fast charging capacity. The smartphones are tipped to boast a large 5160mAh battery with a built-in power management chip.
The upcoming Neo 9 series devices will likely sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with support for a higher 144Hz refresh rate. The smartphones will also come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and IR blaster to enhance the utility of the device. The vanilla iQOO Neo 9 is confirmed to ship with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
iQOO will offer the vanilla smartphone with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The dual rear camera of the device is said to consist of a 50MP Sony IMX 920 sensor paired with a secondary 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide shooter. Worth noting that Vivo launched the Vivo S18 series and Vivo X100 series smartphones with the same primary sensor.
