The iQOO Z7 5G is now officially launching on March 21 according to an interview by India CEO, Nipun Marya with Gadgets 360. The company’s plan for India include “aggressive shipping” in order to meet the needs from the customers here in the country.
iQOO is gearing up for the launch of the Z7 series in India. The company launched several smartphones in the Z6 series India lineup last year. This time, the iQOO Z7 5G will be the first mid-range smartphone offering from the company. The Z7 5G teasers have started to drop online. iQOO is expected to reveal more details about the phone before its launch. The official launch date is yet to be announced. Meanwhile, a new report has revealed some of the key specifications of the upcoming iQOO smartphone.

iQOO Z7 5G: What to Expect Under the Hood
The iQOO Z7 5G is expected to launch in India at an aggressive price. The phone is confirmed to launch very soon in India. Ahead of the official launch, a 91Mobiles Hindi report revealed that the phone will launch with an AMOLED display. The Z6 5G came with an IPS LCD and if the leaked details are true, the Z7 5G is set to get an upgrade in the display department. The screen is said to be 6.4 inches tall and offer HDR10+ certification as well. The leaked details do not reveal any details about the refresh rate but we can expect the Z7 5G to offer 90Hz refresh rate support at least. There will also be 1200Hz instant touch sampling rate support. The display will feature a waterdrop notch and a thick chin bezel.
Under the hood, there is a MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC, as confirmed via an official Amazon India microsite. The 91Mobiles Hindi report further reveals that the Z7 5G will feature a 64MP main camera on the back. The phone has a rectangular camera module. The primary camera will support optical image stabilisation (OIS). Details about the secondary sensor are unknown.
The phone has a 16MP front camera. It will come with up to 128GB of internal storage. For an enhanced gaming experience, the Z7 5G will also have 4D game vibration support.
The Z7 5G is also said to feature a 4500mAh battery. It should support some form of fast charging but the report does not share any specific details about it. We can expect the phone to boot Android 13 out of the box. it is likely to have a layer of Funtouch OS 13 on top of Android. Lastly, we know that the phone will launch in India in black and blue colours.
