iQOO has confirmed the launch of a new Z-series phone in India. The company will launch the Z7 Pro 5G as its new mid-range offering in India. The device will sit above the Z7 5G and Z7s 5G, which were launched earlier this year in India. iQOO has confirmed that the Z7 Pro will sport a curved display. The display also has a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the front camera. The company is yet to confirm the launch date of its upcoming Z-series phone. Meanwhile, thanks to the rumour mill, some of the key iQOO Z7 Pro 5G specifications have leaked online.
Tipster Paras Guglani has listed the full specifications of the upcoming iQOO smartphone. The tipster also revealed the price range of the device along with its RAM and storage configurations. Let’s take a look at the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G specifications, features and other details known so far.
iQOO Z7 Pro 5G India Launch: Specifications (Leaked)
The iQOO Z7 Pro 5G will likely take on the OnePlus Nord CE 3, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G and some other smartphones priced at around Rs 25,000. Tipster Guglani claims that the device will be launched in India between a price range of Rs 25,000 and Rs 30,000. The tipster added that the phone will debut in India in the next 10-15 days. This means that we can expect the Z7 Pro 5G India launch event to be held during the first or second week of August.
In addition to the above details, Guglani revealed that the Z7 Pro 5G will sport a curved AMOLED display. The device is said to sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. Considering the rumoured price range, we can expect the Z7 Pro 5G to offer a Full HD+ resolution. The screen is also said to offer a 20:9 aspect ratio.
Under the hood, the Z7 Pro 5G will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC. It will launch in India with 8GB and 12GB of RAM. The tipster also added that iQOO will launch the device with 128GB and 256GB storage options.
In terms of software, the Z7 Pro 5G will boot Android 13 out of the box. As expected, it will have Funtouch OS 13 on top of Android. The tipster also revealed the battery specs of the Z7 Pro 5G, claiming that it will pack a 4600mAh cell. There will be support for 66W fast charging out of the box.
On the back, there will be a dual-camera setup. The phone will feature a 64MP primary camera sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor, which could offer portrait mode or macro photography capabilities. The Z7 Pro 5G is also said to feature a 16MP front camera.
iQOO is expected to confirm some of the key specs of the phone as we get closer to the launch. The Z7 Pro will likely sit below the iQOO Neo 7, which was launched earlier this year at a starting price of Rs 29,999 in India.
