iQOO Z7 Pro 5G vs Realme 11 Pro vs Redmi Note 12 Pro: Design

iQOO Z7 Pro 5G is one of the lighter phones in this segment, in fact, the company claims it comes with a thickness of 7.36mm and weighs 175 grams. The sleek body is nicely complimented by the shiny back panel that has a large camera module housing the sensors and the LED Aura light.

Realme 11 Pro definitely has set the tone in terms of design in this segment. The phone has two options, one with a plastic panel and the other with a vegan leather finish. The circular camera module is not common in the price range but Realme wants to change those trends with this device. You will also find it easy to use thanks to the rounded edges and weight of 185 grams.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro features a glass back body which gives it the premium appeal. You have different colour options with varied characteristics. Redmi Note 12 Pro gets an IP53 rating which makes it dust and splash-resistant, something that neither iQOO nor Realme offer with their products.

iQOO Z7 Pro definitely has the edge with its refreshing design touch and sleek body which makes it easy to use.

iQOO Z7 Pro 5G vs Realme 11 Pro vs Redmi Note 12 Pro: Display

iQOO Z7 Pro sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel offers HDR10+ support, with a screen that goes up to 1300 nits brightness, and 300Hz touch sampling rate.

Realme 11 Pro gets a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display that offers Full HD+ resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate screen which only gives you 950 nits of peak brightness. The screen supports HDR10+ and has a punch-hole cutout which houses the selfie camera.

Redmi Note 12 Pro has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate screen. It comes with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support and offers peak brightness of up to 900 nits, which is lower than what the other two brands offer.

iQOO Z7 Pro is once again the easy pick with its 3D curved display and higher peak brightness level compared to the other two phones.

iQOO Z7 Pro 5G vs Realme 11 Pro vs Redmi Note 12 Pro: Performance and UI

iQOO Z7 Pro 5G is powered by octa-core Dimensity 7200 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone gets the Android 13-based FuntouchOS 13 UI built over the Android version.

Realme 11 Pro is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. None of the other two phones have the higher RAM variant. Realme is also offering its Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 version out of the box.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro uses the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset which is now rather outdated and underpowered in this range. Redmi Note 12 Pro comes with the MIUI 13 version that was based on Android 12 during the launch, but now has the Android 13 version.

iQOO has surpassed both brands by using a 4nm MediaTek chipset that guarantees solid performance and the Funtouch OS is reliable, even though it is bloaty just like the other two phones.

iQOO Z7 Pro 5G vs Realme 11 Pro vs Redmi Note 12 Pro: Cameras

iQOO offers a dual-camera setup with a 64MP primary camera at the back which has OIS and a 2MP depth sensor. The Z7 Pro 5G carries a 16MP selfie shooter on the front.

Only the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G comes with a triple rear camera module that features a 50MP sensor with OIS. You also have an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, it has a 16MP selfie shooter like the other two phones.

All three phones can be a match with their imaging tech, but if you go by the megapixels on offer, Realme 11 Pro has the edge over the two other phones.

iQOO Z7 Pro 5G vs Realme 11 Pro vs Redmi Note 12 Pro: Battery

iQOO has offered a 4,600mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging. Realme 11 Pro packs a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. The Redmi Note 12 Pro also gets a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.

Again, hard to separate the phones as all of them have the same battery capacity and marginal difference in their charging speed, with the charger available in the box from all three brands.

iQOO Z7 Pro 5G vs Realme 11 Pro vs Redmi Note 12 Pro: Verdict

iQOO Z7 Pro 5G is the complete package in many ways, and this piece clearly illustrates the value that the product is bringing to this segment. You have a sleek, lightweight device with a curved display that offers high peak brightness. It uses a 4nm chip which is hard to find in this range, and the cameras will offer acceptable quality.

Even for a sleek device, you have a large-capacity battery that will keep you going for hours. Compared to this, the Realme 11 Pro also stands out with its design, screen quality, camera and performance, while performance might not be the best anymore. Similarly, the Redmi Note 12 Pro now feels rather dated, with an ageing chipset, software riddled with bloatware and cameras that have now been upstaged.
