iQOO introduced the iQOO Neo 8 and the Neo Pro smartphones in the Chinese market back in May. Additionally, a couple of weeks back, the brand launched the new iQOO 11 series smartphone, the iQOO 11S. Now, after the launch of the iQOO Neo 8 series and the iQOO 11S, it appears that iQOO is gearing up for the launch of new Z-series smartphone. The device in question is the iQOO Z8 whose details now are revealed courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station. The iQOO Z8 will arrive as a successor to the iQOO Z7 5G which was launched in China earlier this year.
iQOO Z8 Specifications Revealed
As per the information shared by Digital Chat Station, the iQOO Z8 will be a high-performance flagship device with an LCD panel. The handset will have a dual-cell battery configuration, combining two 2,440mAh battery. Furthermore, the device will have 120W fast charging support as per the tipster. The other specifications of the smartphone remain unknown as of now. We shall get to learn more about the device if it appears on some certifications or benchmarks in the coming few days. Currently, the launch date of the device is also yet to be revealed. We can expect the handset to debut in China at the end of August.
As mentioned above, the iQOO Z8 will arrive as a successor to the iQOO Z7. To recall, the iQOO Z7 features a 6.64-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display panel has a 19:9 aspect ratio and a punch-hole cutout. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 782G processor which is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
The smartphone features a dual-camera setup which consists of a 64MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The other key specifications which the iQOO Z7 offer includes a 16MP selfie camera, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm audio jack, a 5,000mAh battery, and 120W fast charging support.
The device was also introduced in India with different specifications compared to the China variant. The iQOO Z7 5G India variant sports a 6.38-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The handset has a 90Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, 1300 nits brightness, and HDR10+ support. Furthermore, the Z7 is powered by Dimensity 920 SoC. The smartphone packs up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It has a 64MP dual-camera setup, a 16MP selfie camera, a 4,500mAh battery, a 3.5mm audio jack, and 44W fast charging support. The device is priced at Rs 18,999 in India and it comes in Norway Blue and Pacific Night colours.
