Lava shared another teaser of the upcoming Storm 5G smartphone, confirming that it will debut in a black colour option. The company has also confirmed the chipset of the forthcoming smartphone through a teaser on X (formerly Twitter). Mukul Sharma, a renowned tipster, has revealed the RAM, ultrawide camera sensor and price range of the smartphone through a post in X (formerly Twitter).
Lava Storm 5G Expected Specifications
Lava confirms that the upcoming smartphone will feature MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC, fabricated on a 6nm process. The chipset features two Cortex A76 cores at 2.4GHz, six Cortex A55 cores at 2.0GHz and a Mali G57 MP2 GPU. The render shared by the brand confirms that the device will sport dual rear cameras paired with an LED flash.
The render divulges that Lava will equip the smartphone with individual camera rings for the sensors. The teaser revealed that the power button and volume rockers will be placed on the right side of the device.
Mukul Sharma says that the chipset will pair with up to 8GB of RAM for enhanced performance. Lava will also equip the device with support for virtual RAM expansion up to 16GB.
The tipster also divulges that the upcoming Lava Storm 5G will sport an 8MP ultrawide angle lens. The specifications of the primary and front cameras are unknown at the moment.
The tipster also confirms that Lava will price the smartphone under Rs 16,000 in India. The upcoming Lava smartphone is likely to rival the recently launched Redmi 13C 5G and Realme C67 5G smartphones. The Chinese OEMs have equipped its budget 5G smartphones with MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC.
