Lenovo has introduced its affordable wearable Smart Band Cardio 2 to the Indian market. Going by the images, the Smart Band Cardio 2 looks quite sleek for entry-level fitness gear. It has removable strap design. The Chinese company claims that these straps are lightweight, soft, and skin-friendly. The Smart Band Cardio is rated to survive 50 meters of water immersion. So, not only the swimming pool, but you can also take it to scuba diving as the depth for recreational purpose is limited to 39 meters.
Lenovo Smart Band Cardio 2 Specifications
Much like the Mi Band 3, Lenovo’s latest fitness band comes with an OLED screen. This 0.87-inch display should be good enough to display activity information, text messages, and call notifications when paired with your smartphone. The smart band can buzz your phone if it ever gets lost in your living room or car. As you would expect from its name, the Cardio 2 comes heart-rate sensor. As per Lenovo, its fine-tuned algorithms deliver accurate heart rate readings in real time.
The Smart Band Cardio 2 is backed by the Nordic 52832 processor. This extremely power efficient chip is based on ARM’s Cortex-M4 clocked at 64 MHz. The wearable draws power from a 100 mAh lithium-polymer battery. Lenovo claims that the band can last up to 20 days on a single charge.
The gadget can track a variety of activities including walking, running, swimming, and even cycling. If you sit idle for a long time, the Smart Band Cardio 2 can nudge you to take a walk. Moreover, there’s a sleep monitoring system that can differentiate between deep and light sleeping patterns.
The smart band has a built-in micro USB port for charging. Lenovo offers companion app for Android as well as the iOS platform. The app helps you keep track of your fitness goals such as weight loss and diet record.
