Alleged ASUS ROG Phone 8 Ultimate With 24GB RAM and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC Appears on Geekbench Database Ahead of Launch

ASUS is gearing up to unveil its next set of gaming smartphones, the ROG Phone 8, Phone 8 Pro, and the Phone 8 Ultimate. Recently, the 16GB RAM variant appeared on the Geekbench database. Today, the team at MySmartPrice spotted the alleged ROG Phone 8 Ultimate with the ASUS_AI2401_D model number on the same platform.

The latest entry on the Geekbench database validates the inclusion of Android 14, 24GB of RAM, and the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

Moreover, the alleged ROG Phone 8 Ultimate scored 2235 in the single-core test and 7098 in the multicore test on the Geekbench database. Also, the smartphone showed up on the 3C certification website recently, confirming that the upcoming ROG Phone 8 Ultimate will support 65W fast charging.

The upcoming ROG Phone 8 series is poised to be the successor to the ROG Phone 7 lineup. Notably, the ROG Phone 7 made its debut in April of the current year, featuring two devices: the ROG Phone 7 and the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate. Both the ASUS ROG Phone 7 and the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate showcase a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2448 pixels, HDR10+ support, and an impressive 165Hz refresh rate.

Powering these smartphones is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. These devices come with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Running on Android 13 straight out of the box, these handsets also boast a 50MP triple-camera setup, a 32MP selfie camera, and an in-display fingerprint sensor, among their key features. Additionally, both devices are equipped with a robust 6,000mAh battery that supports rapid 65W charging.
