Huawei has launched yet another smartphone, the Huawei Mate 40E in its flagship Mate-series lineup. Initially, the Mate 40 series debuted back in October 2020 that includes handsets like – Huawei Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, and the Mate 40 Pro+. The launch of this newly announced Mate 40E was tipped lately, as the phone was spotted in a listing on Tmall. The Huawei Mate 40E uses Huawei’s in-house Kirin 990E chipset, features a 6.5-inch display, and will be available for pre-orders in China starting from today. Huawei Mate 40E Pricing and Availability:

The price of the Huawei Mate 40E with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage starts at 4599 Yuan (Rs 51,508). There’s also a higher-end variant that comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB, which is priced at around 5099 Yuan (Rs 57,107). The device comes in three colour options that include – Mithril, Bright Black and Glazed White. The device will go on sale on March 18th in China. No details regarding the global availability of the handset has been confirmed by Huawei at the moment.

Huawei Mate 40E Specifications

The Huawei Mate 40E sports a 6.5-inch OLED display that has 2376 × 1080 pixels resolution. The display offers a 90Hz refresh rate and 240Hz sampling touch rate. Powering the Mate 40E is Huawei’s in-house Kirin 990E chipset. The Kirin 990E is a 7nm+ EUV processor that includes 14 core Mali-G76 GPU. Moving onto Mate 40E, it packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. As mentioned above, there’s also another model that comes with 256GB of internal storage. On the software front, the Mate 40E runs on Android 10 out of the box with EMUI 11 UI.

In terms of imaging, the Mate 40E features a triple-camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel main camera which has an f/1.9 aperture. The other two sensors the device incorporates is a 16-megapixel ultrawide lens, and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera that has 3x optical zoom, and OIS support. The device features a punch-hole display that houses a 13-megapixel camera.

In terms of connectivity, the Mate 40E offers dual SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and a USB-C port. The Mate 40E packs a 4200mAh battery that has 40W wired and wireless fast charging support.
