iQOO recently confirmed that the company will soon unveil the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G smartphone in India. Popular tipster Digital Chat Station recently tipped that iQOO is working on iQOO Z8 series smartphones. The tipster had tipped some key specifications of the upcoming smartphones. We recently spotted the Chinese variant of the vanilla iQOO Z8 5G smartphone on GeekBench. The GeekBench listing confirmed that the forthcoming device will be equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC. A new smartphone in the upcoming iQOO Z8 series has been spotted on the GeekBench (via – ithome) with a different model number and chipset. Digital Chat Station has revealed that the new device will have the moniker iQOO Z8X.

iQOO Z8X Tipped Specifications

The upcoming IQOO Z8X is listed in the GeekBench with the model number V2312A. The device was also recently certified by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The smartphone has scored 968 points in single-core and 2845 points in multi-core tests. The upcoming device will run on Android 13 out of the box. The device will likely run on Origin OS, as GeekBench has listed the Chinese variant.

The GeekBnech listing confirms that the device will have a Qualcomm chipset and a parrot motherboard. The listing reveals that the chipset will have an octa-core with a base frequency of 1.8GHz. The four CPU cores will be clocked at 1.80GHz and the other four cores at 2.21GHz. The source code confirms that the chipset will be paired with Adreno 710 GPU.

The specifications of the chipset hint that the forthcoming iQOO Z8X will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC. The listing also confirms that the device will have up to 8GB of RAM. The upcoming Z8X is tipped to feature an IPS LCD panel with an FHD+ resolution. The device is also tipped to be backed by a large 6000 mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging tech.

iQOO seems to be copying Samsung’s strategy to equip budget smartphones with a large battery. However, iQOO will offer much better fast charging speeds in comparison to Samsung’s 25W fast charging tech. The GeekBench listing of the vanilla iQOO Z8 has confirmed that the device will feature MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC. The smartphone scored 1273 points in single-core and 4011 points in multi-core tests.

The octa-core chipset will feature a peak frequency of 3.10GHz and Mali G610 GPU. The listing also confirmed that the device will be equipped with 12GB of RAM. The forthcoming iQOO Z8 is tipped to be equipped with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone will run on Origin OS based on Android 13 out of the box. The upcoming iQOO Z8 smartphone is tipped to be backed by a 4880 mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. The device is also tipped to feature a 6.44-inch LCD display with a refresh rate of 144Hz.
