Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is gearing up for the launch of the Redmi Note 12 series successor in the form of the Redmi Note 13 5G lineup. Though the launch date of the Redmi Note 13 series is yet to be revealed, the handsets in this upcoming series have started appearing on a few certifications. Recently, the Redmi Note 13 series device which goes by model number 2312DRAABC was listed on the IMEI database. Now, yet another Redmi Note 13 series device has received the EEC certification. Apart from the Redmi Note 13 series smartphone, one more Redmi handset has cleared the EEC certification.
Redmi Note 13 Series Smartphone Receives EEC Certification
The Redmi Note 13 series smartphone listed on EEC certification carries model number 2312DRAABG. Currently, the marketing name of the handset is yet to be revealed. It is possible that the handset could debut as Redmi Note 13 5G. On the other hand, the another Redmi smartphone which has received the EEC certification carries model number 23090RA98G. At this moment, the specifications of the Redmi Note 13 series remain unknown. However, recent information shared by Digital Chat Station suggests that the Redmi Note 13 series could debut in the second half of 2023 with a 6.7-inch display.
Similar to the Redmi Note 12 series, we can expect the upcoming Redmi Note 13 lineup to include a couple of smartphones. We can also expect the upcoming Redmi Note 13 series devices to boot MIUI 15 software skin on top. In a piece of related news, Redmi recently unveiled the latest smartphone in the Redmi Note 12 series, the Redmi Note 12R by the end of last month in China. It is the world’s first smartphone to feature a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC. The handset boasts a 6.79-inch IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The smartphone packs up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It also has microSD card support for storage expansion beyond 256GB. When it comes to imaging, the Redmi Note 12R features a dual-camera setup, consisting of a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP macro lens. On the front side, the device features an 8MP camera with an f/2.1 aperture. The rest of the features which the handset offers include a 5,000mAh battery, 18W fast charging, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, AI face unlock, an IP53 rating, a dual-SIM card slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The price of the device in China starts at RMB 999 (approx. Rs 11,315), and the phone comes in Midnight Black, Time Blue, and Sky Fantasy colours.
