Samsung Galaxy S22 series is expected to debut early next year. If the information churned out by the rumour mill is to be believed, the South Korean tech giant will unveil its 2022 flagship smartphone worldwide on February 8. Samsung is expected to announce the new Galaxy S22 phones at the Unpacked 2022 event. The company is rumoured to launch three new devices – S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra. The company is yet to announce the official launch details. While we wait for that, the vanilla Galaxy S22 has visited the FCC website ahead of the launch. Samsung Galaxy S22 and LED View Cover FCC

Samsung Galaxy S22 has visited the FCC website ahead of its launch. The baseline model of the S22 series is listed with the model number SM-S901U. It does not reveal much about the device, except for its connectivity details. The Galaxy S22 will support Wi-Fi 802.11a/n/ac/ax. It will also support wireless charging, Bluetooth along with NFC, 5G, LTE, etc. The listing also shows a new LED cover.

In addition to this, the Plus model, which has the model number SM-S906, is also listed on the FCC website. The device will pack a battery with the model number EB-BS906ABY. The device has a rated capacity of 4,370 mAh (4,500 mAh typical capacity). The device will support 25W fast charging as well, as per the listing.

Other details of the devices have leaked in the past. The vanilla S22 is rumoured to launch with a 6.06-inch display with a Full HD+ resolution, whereas the S22+ will have a 6.55-inch screen. We can expect the phones to feature support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The devices will sport a hole-punch camera cutout at the top centre. As per a recent report, the device will feature the same 10MP sensor found on the Galaxy S21 series.

On the back, both devices will sport a triple-camera setup. They are rumoured to sport a 50MP primary camera sensor which will have a 1/1.57″ sensor size. The primary camera will have an f/1.8 aperture. Accompanying the main camera is a 12MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture. Lastly, the camera setup is completed with a 10MP telephoto camera with an f/2.4 aperture.

It is rumoured that the India variant of the Galaxy S22 series will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The company has previously launched the Galaxy S-series with its flagship Exynos chipset. More details of the devices should surface online in the coming days.
