Moto G84 5G Spotted on FCC; Motorola Edge 40 Neo and G84 5G Appeared on TDRA Certification Ahead of Launch

Motorola is gearing up for the launch of the new G-series smartphone dubbed as the Moto G84 5G. Apart from the G84 5G, the company is also tipped to launch the Moto Edge 40 Neo smartphone soon. Both these devices were listed on the Danish website a couple of days back. The listing revealed the RAM, Storage configurations as well as colour options of these devices. While we wait for the launch, the Moto G84 5G now has received the FCC certification. Additionally, the G84 5G and the Edge 40 Neo also have received the TDRA certification.

Moto G84 5G, Moto Edge 40 Neo Receives TDRA Certification

The Moto G84 5G is listed on the FCC certification with model numbers as XT2347-2 and XT2347-1. The certification reveals that the device will pack a 5,000mAh battery (model no: QB50) capacity which will offer 33W fast charging support. Furthermore, the smartphone is listed on TDRA certification with the same model number as revealed by FCC certification. The TDRA certification confirms the moniker as Moto G84 5G. On the other hand, the TDRA certification also reveals the Moto Edge 40 Neo moniker and its model number as XT2307-1.

The previous leak indicates that the Moto Edge 40 Neo will feature a 6.55-inch pOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The device could be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 1050 SoC. Furthermore, the handset is tipped to pack up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. As for the imaging purpose, the smartphone might feature a dual-camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera and a 13MP secondary lens. On the front side, the smartphone is rumoured to sport a 32MP selfie camera.

The whole package might draw power from a 5,000mAh battery. The handset is also expected to have an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance purpose. The previous leak suggests that the device could launch for €399 (Rs 36,300). Moving onto the G84 5G, it is expected to pack 4GB/8GB RAM and 128/256GB of internal storage. The base G84 5G model with 4GB of RAM could be introduced in Coronet, Outer Space, Amrosia, and Ballad Blue colours, while the 8GB RAM variant might launch in Ballad Blue and Outer Space.

Currently, the launch date of both these devices is yet to be revealed by Motorola. However, considering that both smartphones are getting various certifications, we can expect them to debut next month.
