February 2024 kicked off with a bang in the tech world, with several highly anticipated smartphones hitting the market and it also ended with one of the biggest smartphone events, Mobile World Congress (MWC). Of course, all this means a lot happened in the Indian smartphone market last month, which means it’s time to bring back our monthly MSP Tech Insights. As always, we have collected data from over 15 million shoppers who visited our platform in February to make their gadget purchase decisions. This also means that the popularity of these phones does not necessarily mean they were purchased too, but indicates that they enjoyed a higher mindshare. So without further delay, here are the top 10 most popular smartphones in Feb.

Most Popular Mobile Phones in February 2024

1. Motorola Edge 40 Neo

Even after five months of its release, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo is still the most popular smartphone in India. The phone recently got a new Peach Fuzz colour option in the country. Priced at Rs 22,999, it is the only device to ship with the MediaTek Dimensity 7030 SoC in the subcontinent. It also sports a 144Hz curved pOLED screen, an IP68 dust and water resistance rating, a 50MP main camera, a 32MP selfie snapper, and fast charging, among others.

2. Redmi Note 13 5G

The Redmi Note 13 stood tall at the second position, maintaining its ranking from January. It is the most affordable option currently available in the Note 13 Series. And, its Prism Gold hue also makes it stand out from the crowd. The device features a 120Hz AMOLED display and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 processor.

3. OnePlus 12R

The OnePlus 12R is the most expensive phone on this list, and yet, it’s the most affordable offering in India with the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The OnePlus 11R was one of the most hit devices from the brand last year and its successor is expected to follow the same steps. The brand also launched its Genshin Impact Edition at MWC 2024.

4. Moto g54 5G

Two Motorola phones launched in September 2023 are mentioned in this list, the first is the Edge 40 Neo and the second is the G54 5G. Motorola knows how to keep the hype train alive for a smartphone. At Rs 13,999, you get a 120Hz IPS LCD panel, the Dimensity 7020 chipset, a beefy 6,000mAh battery, and more.

5. OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G

Almost a year has passed and the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite is still staying strong in our MSP Tech Insights’s popularity list. It is amazing to see how OnePlus dominated the budget smartphone market in India with its Nord CE 3 Lite. Its successor is expected to launch this year and we expect it to also dominate the budget smartphone market in India.

6. Redmi Note 13 Pro

Another Note 13 Series device joining the list of the most popular smartphones is the Redmi Note 13 Pro. Slotted between the Note 13 and Note 13 Pro Plus, it starts at Rs 25,999 and offers a flat 120Hz AMOLED display, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, and a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor.

7. Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

The Galaxy S21 FE got another life last year in July when Samsung relaunched it with a Snapdragon 888 SoC. Since then, the phone has been a popular choice among mid-range. The phone is currently available for just Rs 28,999 on Flipkart and it is praised for its camera.

8. Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus

The most premium device in the Redmi Note series has fallen from first position to eighth this month. However, we cannot ignore the fact that all Redmi Note 13 Series devices are here on the popularity charts. It features a 120Hz curved AMOLED display, a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor, and an attractive Fusion leather design.

9. OPPO Reno 11

OPPO’s premium Reno series in India saw the debut of Reno 11 and Reno 11 Pro early this month. The former has been doing well in the Indian market and hence, arrived on the most popular smartphone list. It runs ColorOS 14 based on Android 14 and has an appealing design on the back.

10. Realme 12 Pro Plus

The Realme 12 Pro Plus is the first-ever numbered series device from the brand with a periscope-style camera. It is priced under Rs 30,000 and offers a plethora of camera-based features along with a luxury-watch-inspired design on the back. It also features a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, 67W fast charging, and a 120Hz curved AMOLED display, among others.
