Motorola introduced the Motorola X40 5G in China last year. Now, the company is prepping up to launch the same device in the global market with the Motorola Edge 40 Pro moniker. Ahead of the official launch, the phone’s renders and price details surfaced last week. Now, in a recent development, the Motorola Edge 40 Pro has appeared on Geekbench. The Geekbench listing reveals the hardware specifications of the Motorola Edge 40 Pro ahead of the official launch.

Motorola Edge 40 Pro Specifications Revealed

According to the Geekbench test result, the Motorola Edge 40 Pro will come powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The device will ship with 12GB of RAM and it will run Android 13 OS out of the box. In the Geekbench test result, the phone has managed to pull off 1480 and 4889 points in the single and multi-core test respectively. The Geekbench test result does indicate that the Motorola Edge 40 Pro will have the same hardware as that of the Chinese X40 5G variant.

As per the previous leak, the Motorola Edge 40 Pro will launch in two colour options — Black and Blue. The phone is expected to flaunt a 6.67-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The display panel is supposed to have a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection and a 165Hz refresh rate. For the security purpose, the device is also expected to boast an in-display fingerprint sensor. In terms of imaging, the handset is expected to feature a triple-camera setup. The back of the phone is expected to include a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12MP portrait lens with 2x optical zoom.

For the selfies and video-calling purpose, the Motorola Edge 40 Pro might rely on a 60MP camera. The device is expected to pack a 4600mAh battery which might offer 125W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging support. Furthermore, the handset is also supposed to feature stereo speakers. As for the pricing, the phone might retail for EUR 850 (roughly Rs 75,300) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. Dimensions-wise, the device might measure around 161.3 × 73.9 × 8.5mm, and it may weigh 197 grams.

As of now, Motorola is yet to reveal the launch date of the Motorola Edge 40 Pro. However, now that the device has appeared on Geekbench, its launch does seem imminent.
