Motorola is reportedly planning to release a new Moto G-series mid-range smartphone. This under-development smartphone is supposedly called Moto G54. A new leak has revealed various details about the upcoming smartphone, including specifications and colour variants.

Motorola G54 Specifications and Features (Leaked)

As per an exclusive report from The Tech Outlook, Motorola is internally referring to the Motorola G54 as Cancum 5G. It is a codename that companies use for products and services during the internal development phase. This codename suggests that Motorola G54 will be a 5G-compatible smartphone.

The upcoming smartphone is said to come with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 20:9 aspect ratio. This is similar to the already available Motorola G53. The phone will have a punch-hole display, as has been the case with most of the recent Motorola smartphone launches.

There are no words on the choice of processor yet. But, it is said to be released in multiple configurations with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB onboard storage. The phone will also support microSD cards up to 1TB for storage expansion purposes.

The Motorola G54 will have a dual rear camera setup, including a 50MP Quad Pixel primary camera sensor. It will support optical image stabilisation (OIS) and different camera modes. Some of these are tipped to be macro vision, night vision, portrait mode, and long exposure. There will be a Face Retouch feature to optimise group photos. On the front, it is reported to have a 16MP camera housed inside the punch-hole cutout.

There is expected to be a 5,000mAh battery to keep the lights on. Fast charging support will be present, but the exact speed has not been specified. The phone will boot Android 13 out of the box, which would be the latest Android version if it launches before Google debuts the Android 14 stable build.

If we look at Motorola G54 renders, we can see it has volume rockers and a power button on the right side. It is reported to have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, suggesting the power button will double as the scanner. Other rumoured features include a water-repellent design and a large stereo speaker with Dolby Atmos and Moto Spatial Sound.

The Motorola G54 is tipped to arrive in Ambrosia, Ballad Blue, Coronet Blue, and Outer Space colours. There are no words on the Motorola G54 pricing and launch date as of now. We will keep you posted as more details emerge.
