4. Redmi 12 5G

Redmi 12 5G, Xiaomi’s most affordable 5G device, has moved two positions up compared to the month of September. Its rise might be because the demand for an affordable 5G phone is growing, and the festive sales on e-com stores would have also contributed to that. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor and costs Rs 11,499 in India.

5. Vivo V29 Pro

Not just the vanilla V29, but its elder sibling, the Vivo V29 Pro is also on the list of most popular smartphones in the October edition of MSP Tech Insights. The premium phone from Vivo is popular because of its camera prowess and display. While it shares most of its specs, it uses an additional 12MP portrait sensor.

6. OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite

Although the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G is declining in popularity each month, we should not ignore the fact that it launched in April and since then, it has been among the most popular phones in each edition. That just shows how people have started trusting OnePlus in the budget segment ever since the introduction of the Nord series.

7. iPhone 15

Within a month of its launch, the iPhone 15 has lost its popularity massively – dropping from the top spot to the 7th place. Talking about the device, the iPhone 15 gets Dynamic Island display, A16 Bionic processor, USB-C port with fast charging, and much more. It starts from Rs 79,900, and one important differentiation is that it is Made in India too.

The Motorola Edge 40 is similar to the Edge 40 Neo in almost every aspect. However, the former brings forth wireless charging and the powerful Dimensity 8020 chipset. It is priced at Rs 29,999 in India for the 8GB+256GB configuration. The other features of the Edge 40 include 144Hz 3D curved OLED display, vegan leather finish, and 32MP selfie camera.

This is the first device to feature 24GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage along with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, 150W charging and more.

3. Honor 90 Pro

Honor made its comeback in India in September with the help of HTech, backed by former Realme Vice President, Madhav Sheth. It launched the Honor 90 in India at a starting price of Rs 37,999. After the comeback, it seems that Indian consumers want to see more from Honor’s stables in the subcontinent. That said, it remains to be seen if the next launch from Honor is a flagship offering or budget / mid-range device.

There’s no denying that October has been action packed in terms of launches. However, with the launch of the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Mediatek Dimensity 9300 chipsets, the race for being the most powerful flagship will start from November. So it would be interesting how consumers respond to these top-of-the-line devices, which we will surely be shedding the light upon in the next edition of MSP Tech Insights. Keep your eyes peeled for that.
