JioBook, the company’s first-ever laptop was announced in India last October. The JioBook was priced under Rs 20,000 and the machine was powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. In terms of software, the JioBook was powered by Android-based OS. Now, the company is gearing up to launch a refreshed version of the affordable laptop in India.
Reliance is all set to launch the All-new” JioBook laptop in India later this month. The brand is all set to unveil the new JioBook in India on July 31st in India. Ahead of the official launch in India, the company has teased some of the specs and features of the device on Amazon. Let’s take a look at the new JioBok in Detail.

All-new JioBook: What We Know So Far
The All-new JioBook which is all set to launch July 31st is designed for all ages, productivity, entertainment, and play 一 as per the Amazon listings. The laptop will offer 4G connectivity on the go. We can also expect the device to offer Wi-Fi support. Unlike the previous version of the JioBook, the upcoming laptop will come run on JioOS.
The JioOS is designed for learning and features a user-friendly interface. The JioBook laptop will come with multiple apps from Jio. Under the hood, the laptop will be powered by an octa-core chipset. The listing says the laptop will be able to handle HD videos, multitask between apps and run advanced learning software with this SoC. However, the exact chipset name is yet to be confirmed. For context, the JioBook from 2022 is backed by Snapdragon 665 processor. In terms of battery life, the all-new JioBook will offer full-day battery life. The new JioBook will also feature a webcam on the front, which can be used for video calls.
Lastly, in terms of design, the new JioBook will weigh 990, which is fairly light for a laptop and at least 200 grams lighter than the 2022 model.
JioBook 2022: Specifications
While we are still waiting for the full specifications and features of the new JioBook, here is what the last-gen device offers. The entry-level laptop has only 2GB of RAM with 32GB of storage. This Jio laptop has an 11.6-inch display with 1366 x 768 pixels. Jio is using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665 SoC here. It packs a 5000mAh battery and the company claims that its budget laptop will offer up to eight hours of battery life on a single charge.
The laptop also supports a 4G SIM card, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi and features an HDMI port. There are dual speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a 2MP webcam at the top of the display. Lastly, the Jio laptop weighs about 1.2 kg.
With the all-new JioBook, we can expect Jio to continue with aggressive and affordable pricing and since this time, the company is planning to sell the laptop on Amazon, it should reach more consumers across India.
