Nothing has started rolling out the NothingOS 2.5.5 update for the Nothing Phone (2a). This is the fourth firmware update the smartphone has got since its debut last month. The latest update for the mid-range handset brings the latest April Android security patch and a few improvements. Here are the details.

The NothingOS 2.5.5 update is 91MB in size and brings camera improvements and enhancements, including improved camera colour saturation. The company claims to have optimised blur accuracy in portrait mode. The update also brings enhanced camera loading speed as per the company.

The Nothing Phone (2a) NothingOS 2.5.5 update brings several improvements like optimising the Google Assistant wake-up experience. Nothing has also optimised pop-up view animations to feel more fluid. The overall gaming experience and performance have also been optimised with the latest update.

Apart from these, the Nothing Phone (2a)’s latest update also resolved compatibility issues with some third-party launchers. The update also includes fixes for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection stability. There’s a fix for the issue that caused the Night Light feature bug on the lock screen.

Nothing seems to be rolling out the update in a phased manner as we haven’t received the update yet on our unit. This means that the update will be initially available for some users and will eventually roll out to more people.
