One UI 5.0 Update Based on Android 13 For Samsung Galaxy A73 5G Now Rolling Out

Samsung is rolling out its new One UI 5.0 update for multiple Galaxy smartphones. The company has already rolled out its new One UI update for Galaxy S22 series. The Galaxy S-series flagship series in India has already received the new One UI 5.0 update. Other phones, such as the Galaxy A53 5G and the Galaxy A33 5G have also received the new One UI update in some markets. Samsung’s top-of-the-line A-series phone, the Galaxy A73, is also getting the new Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update.

The Samsung Galaxy A73 5G was launched earlier this year in India. At the time, it came with the latest Android 12 update. Galaxy A73 5G users in Malaysia are getting the new One UI update. Samsung has already confirmed that the Galaxy A73 5G India variant will get the update soon. Meanwhile, let’s take a look at the new One UI update rolling out for the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G.

Samsung Galaxy A73 5G Gets One UI 5.0

The new One UI 5.0 features are coming to Samsung Galaxy A73 5G in Malaysia. The new Android update has version number A736BXXU2BVK2. SamMobile reported that the new update does not include the November 2022 security update.

Users in Malaysia can download and install the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update by going to Settings > Software and tapping on “Download and Install”.  We advise our readers to take a backup of the data before installing the new One UI update. This could be useful to restore the data if something goes wrong. Also, it is best to download and install the update on a stable Wi-Fi connection. Lastly, we recommend having over 50 per cent charge before installing the update. 

For Indian users, Samsung has confirmed that the device will get its update in December 2022. The exact release date is unknown at the time of writing this.

The new One Ui 5.0 update introduces a host of new features including improvements in the design. It offers new app icons and improved animations and transition effects, claiming to make the user interface feel a lot smoother.

There is the new stacked widgets feature which is inspired by iOS. Users can add multiple widgets within a larger widget. Users can add multiple widgets and stack them on top of each other, which will keep switching every few seconds to show updated information. 

Another One UI feature that is inspired by iOS is Optical Character Recognition (OCR). The feature is available in the Gallery app, which allows users to copy text from images and paste them as plaintext. There are updates made to Samsung DeX and Bixby as well.
