OnePlus 11 was launched earlier this year in global markets. The smartphone was launched in China before it was made available for the global consumer market. At the time of the launch, the company launched its flagship phone in two colour options — Black and Green. OnePlus has confirmed that the 11 5G is set to get a new colour option. The company has been teasing the launch of a new Jupiter Rock Edition of the phone. Now, OnePlus has announced the launch date of the special edition variant of its flagship.

The OnePlus 11 5G Jupiter Rock Edition will launch in China on March 29. The company revealed that the device will be a limited edition version, which suggests that it will be available in limited quantities for a limited time period.

Li Jie, president of OnePlus China had previously said that the upcoming Jupiter Rock edition of the OnePlus 11 5G will be quite unique. While Jie did not share much details at the time, the phone is said to feature design materials that will offer good texture. Moreover, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed (via) that the materials used in the special Jupiter Rock edition have not been used in the industry before. This suggests that the phone will not feature the standard glass or faux leather back panel found in several smartphones these days.

The live image of the Jupiter Rock edition was leaked in the past. It has a cream colour back, which is similar to shades of the planet Jupiter’s surface.

At the moment, the details about the materials are under wraps. OnePlus should be sharing more details about the same at the launch event on March 29. We also hope to see the special colour option being made available for the global markets. The company is yet to officially comment about the same. OnePlus 11 5G Specifications

The OnePlus 11 features a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. The screen is curved towards the sides and has a hole-punch cutout at the top left corner. It is also claimed to offer 1300 nits of peak brightness and support for Dolby Vision.

There is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood. The phone has been launched with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There is a 5000mAh battery under the hood. The phone misses out on wireless charging support but packs a 100W charging brick for wired fast charging.

On the back, the phone has a Hasselblad-tuned triple-camera setup. There is a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide camera and a 32MP telephoto camera. For selfies, the 11 5G has a 16MP front camera.

The phone is currently available in India in two storage options. The base model of the phone offers 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It is priced at Rs 56,999. There is a 16GB RAM variant of the phone as well, which is priced at Rs 61,999. The device can be bought in India in Eternal Green and Titan Black colours.
