OnePlus 11 5G Roundup: Expected Price in India, Launch Date, Sale on Amazon, Specifications and More We Know So Far

The OnePlus 11 5G is set to hit India today, and is one of the biggest smartphone launches this year. Here’s what you should expect from it.

The OnePlus 11 5G launch is upon us. After an initial international unveiling last month, the much awaited ‘flagship killer’ — now a flagship smartphone by its own right — is here in India. The device was tipped for a long time, ever since the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC was unveiled by Qualcomm. Once unveiled, the OnePlus 11 5G will become one of the few devices available in India right now that are powered by the latest generation Qualcomm chip. With this in sight, here’s prepping up for the launch event tomorrow with every single detail that you’d want to know about the OnePlus 11 5G.

OnePlus 11 5G: Launch Date, Event Time, Where to Watch It Live

The OnePlus 11 5G will be launched at an event titled ‘Cloud 11’. You can catch all the details from the launch event that is scheduled for 7:30PM today on the official OnePlus India YouTube channel. The live stream of the event has been embedded below as well.

The company is also expected to launch a host of other devices at the event, which include the OnePlus 11R 5G smartphone, the OnePlus Q2 Pro 65-inch TV, Buds 2 Pro true wireless earphones, and its first Android tablet in India, the OnePlus Pad.

OnePlus 11 5G: Expected Price in India

The OnePlus 11 5G has already been launched in China on January 4, so this already gave us a fair amount of idea regarding what the smartphone could be priced at. The device starts at a price of RMB 3,999 (about Rs 49,000) for the starting variant in China — with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

Rumours, however, have pointed at the India version of the OnePlus 11 5G to starting with an 8GB RAM variant. As per leaks and reports, the smartphone will start at Rs 49,999 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Other variants and their tipped prices are 12GB RAM and 256GB storage for Rs 54,999, 16GB RAM and 256GB storage for Rs 61,999, and 16GB RAM and 512GB storage for Rs 66,999.

OnePlus 11 5G: Expected Sale Date

According to leaked reports, the OnePlus 11 5G is likely to go on preorders tomorrow itself, presumably shortly after the device is officially unveiled in India. Users may even get special introductory pricing, bank offers or other bundled discounts if they preorder the smartphone. However, the sale date is likely to be February 11, which is when OnePlus will likely ship the device to its buyers.

OnePlus 11 5G: Expected Specifications and Features

The OnePlus 11 5G is set to be the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered smartphone in the country, and the brand made headlines at the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series on February 1 — when it poked fun at Samsung for pricing its flagship smartphones at over Rs 1 lakh. The teasers, and the launch in China, have given us all the details about the smartphone, and here’s what we expect to see tomorrow.

Hasselblad Cameras

One of the key highlights of the OnePlus 11 5G is the use of Hasselblad certified colour calibration on the rear camera module of the smartphone. The latter is set to feature a 50MP primary camera, 48MP ultrawide camera and 32MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, but a key differentiating factor will be the camera algorithms tweaked and customised by Hasselblad, the iconic German camera brand. The latter will go up against rival brand Xiaomi, with the latter’s association with fellow iconic camera brand Leica also expected to be launched in India soon.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC

The second key feature of the smartphone is the use of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which will offer the fastest performance and graphics prowess on Android smartphones at the moment. This, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X memory and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage, gives the OnePlus 11 5G true flagship credentials — even in the absence of a ‘Pro’ model this year.

Premium Design

A third key highlight of the OnePlus 11 5G this year is also its design language, which has already caught eyeballs for its smooth, flowing finish and a nearly all-glass chassis layout. While more details will surface as users get an in-hand feel of the smartphone tomorrow, the design language will be key in the brand managing to convince users that its flagship Android device is, indeed, at par with Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S23 series.

Other Specifications and Features

Other key specifications and features of the smartphone include a 6.7-inch LTPO3 AMOLED display with 2K+ screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top, and Dolby Vision certification. The smartphone also weighs 203 grams but keeps its profile slim at 8.5mm. In terms of software, it will be powered by OxygenOS 13, based on the latest generation of Android 13.

Videographers can access up to 8K, as well as 4K 60fps videos on the phone, while the front camera features a 16MP sensor. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 and USB OTG via the USB-C port at the bottom. All of this will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging in tow.
