OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch date of the OnePlus 12 Series in India.
The company will launch both OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R at the same event.
It will also mark the debut of the OnePlus R-Series in global markets.
The OnePlus 12 was recently launched in China with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and an upgraded camera setup. It is also one of the first mainstream devices from the company to get a 24GB RAM variant. OnePlus has now officially confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will launch in India on January 23, 2024. The global launch will also take place on the same day, according to the official OnePlus Community blog post.
The company will also launch the OnePlus 12R during the same event. OnePlus is also celebrating its 10th anniversary with the global launch of the OnePlus 12 Series.

OnePlus 12 Series India Launch: What To Expect
The OnePlus 12 will be one of the first flagships of 2024 in India. The company has released a poster confirming the launch of both: OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R in India, and other global markets at the same time.
To recall, the OnePlus 12 pricing in China starts at Rs 50,500 for the base 12GB+256GB variant. Considering that the OnePlus 11 was priced at Rs 56,999 during its Indian launch, we can expect the OnePlus 12 pricing to start at around Rs 60,000 and the OnePlus 12R at around Rs 50,000.
The global launch of the OnePlus 12 Series also marks the 10th anniversary of OnePlus smartphones. The company launched its first device, the OnePlus One in 2013. Hence, the OnePlus 12 and 12R may also offer some anniversary special discounts for a limited time during the first few sales.
The OnePlus 12 features a 6.82-inch AMOLED screen with a 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It also gets the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
The Hasselblad-powered triple rear camera setup on the OnePlus 12 includes a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 64MP telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom and OIS, and a 48MP ultrawide lens. The selfie camera is a 32MP sensor.
The OnePlus 12 also gets a 5400mAh battery with support for 100W wired fast charging, and 50W wireless charging. The device is expected to boot ColorOS 14 based on Android 14 out of the box.
However, the exact specifications of the OnePlus 12R have not been confirmed as the device is yet to launch in China. As per previous reports, the OnePlus 12R is expected to have a similar design as the OnePlus 12 and feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
The OnePlus 12R could borrow the camera setup from the OnePlus 12. However, the device may skip on wireless charging, to keep the price lower. Other than this, the OnePlus 12R is expected to feature a similar 5400mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging.
