OnePlus is set to unveil the OnePlus Ace 3 smartphone in China on January 4. The same smartphone is set to launch in the global and Indian market on January 23 as the OnePlus 12R. Ahead of the official launch, the Chinese smartphone maker have started confirming a few key specifications of the OnePlus Ace 3. Recently, the company confirmed that the device will feature a 1.5K resolution display which will have a 4,500 nits brightness. Now, in a recent development, the brand has confirmed additional specifications of the device.
OnePlus Ace 3 Will Receive 3 Years of Android Software Updates
As per the details shared by the company today, the OnePlus Ace 3 will receive 3 years of Android software updates and four years of monthly security patches. The handset will also feature a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The smartphone will have a dual stereo speaker setup which will also have Dolby Atmos support.
Additionally, the brand also has confirmed that the device will have an NFC support, IR blaster, Wi-Fi 7, and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security purposes.
The other key specifications of the device are already known to us, considering that the device had made an early appearance on the China Telecom website a couple of days back.
The listing revealed that the OnePlus Ace 3 will feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, as revealed by the Geekbench listing previously. The smartphone is expected to be introduced in 12GB/16GB of RAM configuration which could be paired with 256GB/512GB of internal storage options.
As for the software, the device will be running Android 14 out of the box. It is expected to pack a 5,500mAh battery which could support 100W fast charging. The smartphone will launch in the Black, Gold, and Blue colourways.
The price of the device is expected to start in China at CNY 3299 (Roughly Rs 39,500). This pricing could be applicable for the 12GB of RAM variant. The 16GB RAM variant with 512GB and 1TB of internal storage could retail for CNY 3699 (Roughly Rs 44,200) and CNY 3999 (Roughly Rs 48,000) respectively.
