OnePlus has officially launched its OnePlus Ace 3 in China as a companion to the OnePlus 12. The Ace 3 has a lower price point compared to the more flagship OnePlus 12. The company is also gearing up to bring these devices to the global markets, including India. The Ace 3 is expected to launch as OnePlus 12R in India and global markets.
OnePlus Ace 3 comes with a similar design as the OnePlus 12, featuring a triple rear camera setup. The device also comes with 100W SUPERVOOC charging, along with a new Rose Gold colour variant. Let’s have a look.

OnePlus Ace 3: Features
The OnePlus Ace 3 is equipped with a 6.78-inch curved OLED display, with a 1.5K resolution of 2480×1264 pixels. It is the same Oriental Screen as the OnePlus 12, which is a new display technology co-developed by OnePlus and BOE — a display manufacturing company.
The screen has a refresh rate of 120Hz and is also certified for Dolby Vision. OnePlus has included Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for scratch resistance. The device also gets a metal frame.
OnePlus Ace 3 features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It is available in three storage options: 12GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB The device runs on ColorOS 14 based on Android 14.
The triple rear camera setup on the OnePlus Ace 3 includes a 50MP primary shooter featuring the Sony IMX890 sensor and OIS. The secondary camera is an 8MP ultrawide lens, alongside a 2MP macro lens. The selfie camera is a 16MP sensor.

Pricing for the OnePlus Ace 3 starts at CNY 2599 (approx Rs 30,500) for the 12GB+256GB variant, CNY 2999 (approx Rs 35,100) for 16GB+512GB, and CNY 3499 (approx Rs 40,100) for the 16GB+1TB model.
The OnePlus Ace 3 will be launched globally as the OnePlus 12R. The company has scheduled the launch of the OnePlus 12 Series in India for January 23, 2024. Considering the price of the device in China, we can expect the OnePlus 12R to be priced at around Rs 37,000 in India for the base model.
