OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 alongside the OnePlus 11 smartphone earlier this year. The Buds Pro 2 also made its debut in India along with the OnePlus 11 in February. The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 are priced at Rs 11,999 in India and they feature 11mm woofers and 6mm tweeters. These earbuds have 48dB noise cancellation support, touch control, three microphones, an IP55 rating, and 9 hours of battery life.
Now, the next earbuds that OnePlus is aiming to introduce is the OnePlus Buds 3. While the launch date of the Buds 3 remains unknown, we at MySmartPrice have learnt the specifications of the same. Alongside the specifications, we also reveal the renders of the OnePlus Buds 3 in collaboration with trusted leakster OnLeaks.
OnePlus Buds 3 Will Offer 48dB Active Noise Cancellation, IP55 Rating
If we have a look at the OnePlus Buds 3 renders, we can see that the earbuds will have a nearly identical design as that of the Buds Pro 2. It is worth noting that these renders are based on the testing stage unit phase. Design-wise, the only change we will see is the metallic finish on the earbuds. Also, the earbuds and case will be lighter than the Buds Pro 2. The upcoming OnePlus Buds 3 will weigh 4.77 grams each.
As far as the specifications go, the OnePlus Buds 3 will be equipped with 10.4mm (woofer) and 6mm (tweeter). Similar to their predecessor, the Buds 3 will have a 48dB Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) support. Furthermore, these earbuds will also have an IP55 rating for water and dust resistance, while the case will have an IPX4 rating. As far as the other features go, the earbuds will have Bluetooth v5.3, Google Fast pair, and dual connection support.
These earbuds will offer the same 9 hours of battery life as that of the Buds Pro 2 when ANC is turned off. With the case, the Buds 3 will provide a battery life of 33 hours. When ANC is turned on, the earbuds will last for 6 hours and for 22 hours with case. Each earbud will pack a 58mAh battery, while the case will ship with a 520mAh battery. With 10 minutes of charging, the earbuds will provide 5 hours of listening time.
Currently, we don’t have any details as to when these upcoming TWS earbuds will debut. Considering that the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 were announced along with the OnePlus 11 earlier this year, we can expect the Buds 3 to debut alongside the OnePlus 12 next year. The OnePlus 12 is expected to launch in India and in the global market in January 2024. Recent information shared by tipster Yogesh Brar with us also suggests that a new pair of earbuds, likely the OnePlus Buds 3 will make its debut along with OnePlus 12 in January 2024.
