OnePlus Nord Buds 2 global launch is imminent. The company is yet to confirm the launch date of the Nord Buds 2 for the global market. The device is expected to launch soon in India in the coming weeks. It has already cleared a few certifications, hinting at an imminent launch. The latest sighting of the Nord Buds 2 has been spotted on the FCC website. The listing on FCC reveals many details about Nord Buds 2.
According to the FCC listing, the Nord Buds 2 has the model number E508A. The listing also reveals the battery capacity of the charging case and the earbuds, along with the design of the case. Let’s take a look at the OnePlus Nord Buds 2 design, specifications, features and other details.
OnePlus Nord Buds 2 FCC
The OnePlus Nord Buds 2 could be a rebadged version of the Buds Ace, which was launched alongside the Ace 2 5G (AKA the OnePlus 11R in India) in China. The Nord Buds 2 FCC listing reveals that the TWS earbuds will each have a 41mAh battery, whereas the charging case will pack a 480mAh cell.
The charging case design is also the same as the Buds Ace in China. This suggests that OnePlus might launch the Buds Ace globally under the Nord branding. Various schematics, which reveal the design of the earbuds and the case also hint at the Buds Ace going global with a rebranded name.
The charging case has a USB Type-C port on the back, next to which is a button for pairing the TWS to the phone. Other specifications and features are likely to remain the same as the Buds Ace.
This means that the Nord Buds 2 will have a flat stem design with each earbud having silicone ear tips. The earbuds support features like Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and have 12.4mm dynamic audio drivers.
The earbuds also have dual microphones and AI call noise reduction. Each earbud has an IP55 rating for basic water and dust resistance. The stem supports touch controls for controlling music playback or accepting/ rejecting calls.
