OnePlus launched the OnePlus Nord N200 5G last week in select markets including the US, and Canada. It is the successor to the entry-level Nord N100 smartphone. The Nord N200 brings some major upgrades compared to its predecessor, such as 5G connectivity, and an FHD+ display. But, OnePlus is still promising just one Android version upgrade for the handset, similar to its predecessor. As of now, OnePlus Nord N200 boots OxygenOS 11, based on Android 11. Going by this, Android 12 update will be the last Android version update for the handset. However, the device will receive security patch updates for three years.

Android 12 will be the last Android update for OnePlus Nord N200 5G!

The OnePlus Nord N200 5G will receive only one Android update, and Android 12 will be the first and last Android update for the handset. The company promises three years of security patch updates for the device, but it hasn’t mentioned anything about the frequency of security patch updates.

OnePlus’s track record has not been up to the mark when it comes to the budget Nord lineup. Last year’s Nord N100 is yet to receive Android 11 update, as 9to5Google report points out. However, we can expect things to change this time around considering the company announced deeper integration with Oppo in order to roll out updates faster.
