OPPO A53 was launched in India back in August 2020 and around eight months after its launch, the smartphone has received its first price slash in the country. The smartphone was launched in Indian with an entry-level Qualcomm, bigger battery, high refresh rate display, triple rear camera setup, and a lot more among others. OPPO A53 Price Slash in India
Just to recall, the OPPO A53 was launched in two configurations including a 4GB RAM + 64GB model and a 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. OPPO launched these two variants at Rs 12,990 and Rs 15,490 respectively. However, now both the models have received a price drop of Rs 2,000 and Rs 2,500 respectively.
The latest pricing of the handset is after effective price cuts are Rs 10,990 for the 4GB RAM and Rs 12,990 for the 6GB RAM variant. According to a report from 91Mobiles, the new pricing is only applicable for offline stores. Online e-store Flipkart is still reflecting the earlier pricing but Amazon India has listed the smartphones with the new price.
OPPO A53 Specifications
The OPPO A53 was launched in India with a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. It houses a left-aligned single punch-hole cutout to accommodate the selfie camera setup. The display of the handset comes with a 90Hz refresh rate. Underneath the punch-hole cutout, there is a 16MP camera for selfie and video calls. At the back, the OPPO A53 offers a triple rear camera setup, with the combination of a 16MP primary lens accompanied by a dual 2MP camera sensor.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 processor, paired with up to 8GB RAM and a 128GB storage variant. The OPPO A53 ships with the latest Android 10 OS out of the box with the company’s in-house ColorOS 7.2 skin baked on top of it.
