OPPO has announced that it is rolling out a stable beta version of ColorOS 11 to its Oppo F17 Pro smartphone in India. The company says that the latest beta update is based on Android 11 update. With this, OPPO F17 Pro becomes the first smartphone in this price segment to get the stable beta version of the ColorOS 11. The company has also revealed that Reno 3 4G and Reno 3 Pro 4G phones will also get ColorOS 11 beta update starting from today. The company says that ColorOS 11 offers all the stock Android 11 features along with some customisations. Users will get an enhanced user interface with new customisation options along with improved security and privacy. The update also brings Low Battery Message as an India specific feature, which basically sends messages along with the user’s current location to selected contacts when the battery goes below 15 per cent.
Apart from this, users will get to see new Always-On Display, theme, and wallpaper, as well as fonts, icons, and ringtones. The ColorOS 11 also features enhanced Dark Mode with three different colour schemes. ColorOS 11 comes with OPPO’s proprietary lag-reducing algorithm with Quantum Animation that boosts enhanced RAM utilization by 45%, improving the response rate by 32% and the frame rate by 17%.
OPPO F17 Pro specifications
The OPPO F17 Pro features a 6.44-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a punch-hole design. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G95 processor along with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
In terms of cameras, it features a quad-camera setup at the back with 48MP primary lens, 8MP wide-angle lens, 2MP B&W portrait lens, and 2MP monochrome sensor. On the front, there is a 16MP primary sensor along with a 2MP depth shooter. The OPPO F17 Pro features a 4,000mAh battery and supports 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 technology.
