Oppo is all set to launch its F21 Pro series in India on April 7. The company is expected to unveil two phones in the series – Oppo F21 Pro 4G and F21 Pro 5G. The mid-range smartphones from Oppo will be the successor to the F19 Pro series that was launched back in March 2021. The Oppo F21 Pro 4G has already launched in the Indonesian market with the name, Reno 7 4G while the F21 Pro 5G will be revealed soon as Oppo Reno7 Lite 5G in the global market.

The F21 Pro series will feature Sony IMX709 RGBW (red, blue, green, white) sensors on the front which is 60% more sensitive to light and reduces noise by 35% when compared to the last-gen IMX615 RGB sensor. Oppo F21 Pro Series Launch Date, Event Time, Where to Watch It Live

Oppo has confirmed that it will launch its mid-range smartphones, Oppo F21 Pro and F21 Pro 5G in India on April 12 at 5 PM. The company will also launch the Oppo Enco Air 2 Pro at the event alongside the smartphones. The live event will be streamed on Oppo India’s Youtube channel and the company’s social media handles.

Oppo F21 Pro Series Expected Price in India

As per the previous leaks, the Oppo F21 Pro 4G variant will launch in a single 8GB RAM option with 128GB of internal storage that will be priced at Rs 21,990. The 5G variant of the device will carry a price tag of Rs 25,990 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Fiberglass Leather Design

Oppo F21 Pro 4G 5G

The Oppo F21 Pro series will feature a Fiberglass Leather design that is said to be the industry first by Oppo in this segment. This will be used only in the Sunset orange variant. The device will also be available in two other colour options – Rainbow spectrum and Cosmic Black.

Qualcomm Chipsets

Both devices in the F21 Pro series will feature Qualcomm mid range mobile chipsets. The 4G variant will feature a Snapdragon 680 SoC under the hood while the 5G variant is expected to feature a Snapdragon 695 SoC. These will be paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Further, the devices will feature 5GB expansion RAM technology taking the total RAM capacity to be 13GB.

Sony IMX709 Front Sensor

Oppo has revealed that both the devices in the F21 Pro series will come with Sony IMX709 RGBW (red, blue, green, white) selfie camera sensor. The company states that it had collaborated with Sony to work on this sensor. This customer Sony IMX709 has been designed by Oppo’s team using the 22nm process to be power efficient.

The Sony IMX709 sensor is 60% more sensitive to light and reduces noise by 35% when compared to the last-gen IMX615 RGB sensor. In addition to this, in Oppo’s Quadra Binning algorithm, two W pixels are added to each R, G, and B pixel so that the sensor can detect red, green, blue, and white signals.

Other Specifications and Features

Apart from the above mentioned specifications, both Oppo F21 Pro series smartphones will come with a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. The devices will come with a 4500 mAh battery unit and 33W fast charging support.

In terms of optics, both phones will get a triple-camera setup. There is a 64MP main camera coupled with a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the 5G variant will feature a 16MP sensor while the 4G model gets a 32MP Sony IMX709 sensor.

Other features include fingerprint and face unlock support, WiFi 5, Bluetooth v5.1, 3.5mm headphone jack, and more.
