Chinese smartphone manufacturer, OPPO, has finally took the wraps off its OPPO Reno 4 series of smartphones in China. The company has launched two smartphones under the OPPO Reno 4 lineup – the vanilla OPPO Reno 4 and the OPPO Reno 4 Pro. Both smartphones feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G processor. While the OPPO Reno 4 comes with a 6.4-inch Full HD+ panel, the OPPO Reno 4 Pro has a slightly larger 6.5-inch screen. OPPO Reno 4 and OPPO Reno 4: Prices and availability
The OPPO Reno 4 is priced at CNY 2,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant and CNY 3,299 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The OPPO Reno 4 Pro, on the other hand, is priced at CNY 3,799 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant and CNY 4,299 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. Both devices are already available for pre-order in China and will go on sale in the country on June 12, 2020. The global availability of the OPPO Reno 4 series is still unknown.
OPPO Reno 4: Specifications and features
OPPO Reno 4 sports a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 96 percent NTSC color gamut, up to 600 nits brightness, and has Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The display of the device comes with a dual punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, which is located in the top left corner. Speaking of, the OPPO Reno 4 features a 32MP selfie snapper with f/2.4 aperture, which is accompanied by a 2MP portrait lens with f/2.4 aperture. Moving around to the rear of the device, the OPPO Reno 4 has a triple rear camera setup, which includes a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP monochrome lens with f/2.4 aperture.
Under the hood, the OPPO Reno 4 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, which is clubbed with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. On the software side of things, the OPPO Reno 4 boots the latest, Android 10 OS out of the box with the company’s in-house developed ColorOS 7 skin baked on top of it.
Coming to the battery of the device, the OPPO Reno 4 sports a 4,020mAh battery, which has support for up to 65W Super Flash Charge fast charging. Connectivity features of the device include 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, and a USB Type-C charging port.

Starting with the display of the device, the OPPO Reno 4 Pro makes room for a 6.55-inch Full HD+ 3D AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, up to 800 nits brightness, and a Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The OPPO Reno 4 Pro features a single 32MP selfie snapper, located in the top left corner of the device’s display. At the back, the OPPO Reno 4 Pro features a 48MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture, a 13MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, 5x hybrid zoom, and 20x digital zoom.
Powering the OPPO Reno 4 Pro is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, which is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard memory. As far as the software is concerned, the OPPO Reno 4 Pro also ships with the latest, Android 10 + ColorOS 7 combo out of the box. Speaking of the battery of the device, the OPPO Reno 4 Pro features a 4,000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging.
