The part of the claim where the company states its phone will offer immersive visuals is because of the display. The Reno 8T 5G is rumoured to sport a curved OLED display on the front. The screen is said to be 6.7 inches tall and have with a Full HD+ resolution. It will have fairly thin bezels at the top and bottom. The screen will also have a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the front camera.
The rear panel and the frame are curved. The phone is likely to use polycarbonate materials. The Reno 8T 5G will also feature a triple-camera setup on the back. There will be a 108MP main camera. Instead of an ultra-wide camera sensor, the phone is rumoured to feature a 2MP microscope camera sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, the hole-punch cutout will feature a 32MP front camera.
The Reno 8T 5G will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC under the hood. The device will pack a fairly large 4800mAh battery and support 67W fast charging. While the battery capacity is bigger than the Reno 8 5G, the charging speed is slightly slower.
The phone will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and AI face unlock. It will not have a 3.5mm headphone jack but we expect it to offer dual speakers. There will also be a USB Type-C 2.0 port at the bottom.
OPPO is rumoured to launch the phone with a single 8GB + 128GB storage option for Rs 29,990. The phone will boot Android 13-based ColorOS 13 out of the box. What are your thoughts about the Reno 8T? Let us know in the comments below.
