Sony has finally unveiled four new games coming to PlayStation Plus in May. These include EA Sports FC 24, Ghostrunner 2, Tunic, and Destiny 2: Lightfall. Usually, Sony reveals the free PlayStation Plus games on the last Wednesday of the month, but you can’t play them until the first Tuesday of the next month. As April 2024’s list was available on Wednesday, this month’s free games followed the lead and were delayed a little.
PlayStation Plus May 2024 Free Monthly Games
PS Plus users can get their hands on the new games, starting May 7. The inclusion of Destiny 2: Lightfall is quite a surprise.
EA Sports FC 24 (PS4, PS5)
This month’s PS Plus lineup welcomes EA Sports FC 24, hot off its September 2023 release. Marking a new era for EA’s soccer franchise, this title breaks away from the FIFA branding but retains the core gameplay fans have come to love, boasting a massive roster of licensed teams and leagues. This is your chance to dive into EA’s new soccer venture for free and see how it stacks up.
Tunic (PS4, PS5)
Another game that adds to the list is Finji’s Tunic, a captivating action-adventure overflowing with secrets and retro charm. This captivating action-adventure throws players into a vibrant world brimming with cryptic puzzles and hidden challenges, capturing the essence of the golden age of 16-bit exploration games.
Ghostrunner 2 (PS5)
Ghostrunner 2 is a dose of cyberpunk action released recently. The sequel expands upon the original title’s foundation, promising even faster-paced combat and seamless integration of parkour elements. Players can expect a high-stakes gameplay experience where mastering precise attacks and acrobatic manoeuvres becomes key to success.
Destiny 2: Lightfall
Finally, coming as a surprise is Destiny 2: Lightfall released just a month before the series’ grand finale “The Final Shape.” It offers players a chance to experience a crucial chapter in the Light and Darkness saga. Lightfall isn’t the full Destiny 2 experience but it offers exclusive weapons, a new subclass, and a chance to level up before the final battle.
Players can still download April monthly games until May 6, which include Immortals of Aveum, Minecraft Legends and Skul: The Hero Slayer, and more.
