Poco has finally introduced its new mid-range smartphone, the Poco X3 for the Indian market. The latest smartphone from Poco has a host of interesting features like 120Hz refresh rate, 6,000mAh battery, quad-camera setup, Snapdragon 732G processor, and more. The Poco X3 price in India starts at INR 16,999 and in this price range, the phone gives a stiff competition to the likes of Realme and OPPO. We have Realme 7 Pro that stands tall in this price segment, while the OPPO F17 is also a good option to consider. In this article, we will pit POCO X3 against the Realme 7 Pro and OPPO F17 to know which one offers a better price to specs ratio and which one is a value-for-money smartphone. So, let’s begin.

The POCO X3 price in India starts at INR 16,999 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB option, INR 18,499 for 6GB RAM + 128GB model, and INR 19,999 for 8GB RAM + 128GB variant. The Realme 7 Pro price is INR 19,999 for 6GB RAM + 128GB option and INR 21,999 for 8GB RAM + 128GB model. Moving on, the OPPO F17 is available at a price of INR 17,990 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB model and INR 19,990 for 8GB RAM + 128GB option. That said, the POCO X3 turns out to be the winner of this round as the base variant of the phone it is available at a cheaper price point as compared to the one from OPPO and Realme.

In terms of design, all three smartphones have distinct design languages. The POCO X3 comes with a dual-tone finish at the back panel, while the camera alignment is unique as compared to the other two smartphones. The front panel features a punch-hole design and the phone does give you a premium look and feel. Coming to the Realme 7 Pro, it comes with a punch-hole design, which is located at the top-left corner, while the back panel comes with a glossy finish.

The OPPO F17 is offered in leather-like finish and the square-based camera module is located at the top-right corner of the rear panel. If we have to pick one, then we will go for OPPO F17 as leather-feel back surface will attract fewer smudges and fingerprints than the glass present in POCO X3 and Realme 7 Pro.

Lastly, OPPO F17 equips the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC with up to 8 gigs of RAM and 128GB of storage. The real competition is between the POCO X3 and Realme 7 Pro as both of them are equipped with Snapdragon 7-series chipsets. Both the chips from Qualcomm offers comparable performance, though the Snapdragon 732G is marginally better. So, this round goes to the POCO X3.

The Realme 7 Pro comes with a combination of 64MP primary lens with Sony IMX682 sensor, 8MP wide-angle lens, 2MP B&W portrait sensor, and 2MP macro shooter. For the front, there is a 16MP selfie shooter. The OPPO F17 flaunts a 16MP primary lens, 8MP wide-angle lens, 2MP monochrome lens and 2MP depth sensor. The POCO X3 emerges as a better value for money smartphone as it offers 120HZ refresh rate, better processor, and larger battery capacity. The Realme 7 Pro cut it close with AMOLED screen, comparable performance and much faster-charging speed. The OPPO F17 lacks behind the two smartphones. So, if you are willing to buy a new smartphone in this price range and then POCO X3 is a good option for you. Otherwise, if you want better-charging speed and AMOLED screen then Realme 7 Pro is the one meant for you.

  1. All of them are still too expensive without any special features to talk about. For more than 15k a MediaTek Helio G95 or even a Helio P65 would have been a much better choice of processor
