POCO X5 5G Spotted on IMEI Ahead of Launch; Specifications Tipped

POCO launched the X4 series earlier this year. The POCO X4 Pro 5G was launched earlier this year in India. POCO is expected to launch the X5 series soon. The company might launch at least two smartphones in the series, namely the POCO X5 and X5 Pro 5G. The company has not confirmed any details about the launch timeline. Meanwhile, the vanilla X5 5G has been spotted on the IMEI database.

The listing on IMEI reveals the model number of the device. In addition to this, a XiaomiUI report has also revealed some key specifications of the upcoming POCO X-series smartphone. Let’s take a look at the POCO X5 5G specifications, features and other details known so far.

POCO X5 5G IMEI Listing

POCO X5 5G will be the next mid-range smartphone offering from the brand. The company is expected to launch the device soon in India and other markets. The listing on IMEI revealed that the X5 5G has the model number 22101320G, where the G stands for global. Its India variant is also listed on the IMEI website, which has the model number 22101320I. The Chinese variant, which will launch as a Redmi phone, has the model number 22101320C.

The XiaomiUI report further revealed that the phone will sport a 120Hz refresh rate display. It will feature an IPS LCD instead of an AMOLED panel. The device is also said to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC. The SoC is also found in the Nothing Phone (1) and the Moto Edge 30 5G in India.

The device, codenamed redwood, is likely to launch later this year. XiaomiUI speculates that the phone will launch between October 13 and October 20. There is no official word from the brand regarding the launch date of the phone. Therefore, we advise our readers to take the leaked date with a pinch of salt.
