Realme has been teasing the launch of the Realme 12 Pro series smartphones on their social media in the Indian and global markets. Now, it has confirmed the debut of this series in late January.

Realme’s new teaser reveals that the forthcoming smartphones will debut on January 29 in India. The launch event will kick off at 12 noon and will be live-streamed through the brand’s social handles. Just like the Realme 11 Pro-series, Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan will continue to be the brand ambassador for the Realme 12 Pro series.

Realme is hosting multiple contests on the brand’s micro-site for the upcoming smartphones. The brand also reveals that the users who trade in their smartphones will receive Realme Buds Air 5 worth Rs 3,699. Realme teases that the smartphone possesses the capability to capture DSLR-grade portraits. The micro-site of the latest number-series midrange smartphones is live on Flipkart.

Realme will equip the vanilla Pro and Pro+ smartphones with a 50MP Sony IMX 890 sensor. The brand will fit the device with a similar sensor found on the flagship Realme GT 5 Pro smartphone. In related news, a Realme official recently hinted at the debut of the Realme GT series smartphones soon in the Indian and international markets.

It seems like Realme is taking a dig at the recently launched Redmi Note 13 Pro series smartphones with its tagline “Beyond 200MP, Periscope Awaits”.

Going by rumours and leaks, the forthcoming 12 Pro+ smartphones will sport a 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom. The vanilla Realme 12 Pro smartphone will feature a 32MP Sony IMX 709 telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom. The Pro and Pro+ smartphones will sport an 8MP ultrawide sensor with the capability to shoot macro images.

The first impression video, which went live, confirmed that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC will power the Realme 12 Pro+. In related news, Realme is also reportedly working on a Realme 12+ smartphone. The device has obtained Malaysia’s SIRIM certification with the model number RMX3867.

The Camera FV 5 certification confirms that the device will sport a dual rear camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide sensor. The smartphone will feature a 16MP selfie camera, which the punch hole cutout will house. The certification also confirms the 67W fast charging capability of the device.
