
Realme has finally announced the launch of its latest Realme 2 series in Indonesia. Earlier, we reported the company teasing the launch in Indonesia and Vietnam. While there is no information on the Vietnam launch event, the company has released the Realme 2, the Realme 2 Pro, and the recently-launched Realme C1 in Indonesia.
Realme 2 Series Goes Global with Indonesia Launch
Besides the Realme 2 and the Realme 2 Pro, the Oppo sub-brand has also launched the recently-released Realme C1. The 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant of the Realme 2 is priced at IDR 1999,000, while the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is priced at IDR 23,999,000. The Realme 2 Pro with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage is available at IDR 2,899,000, while the storage variant featuring 6GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage sells for IDR 3,299,000. The 8GB RAM variant with 128GB onboard storage is available at IDR 36,999,000 in Jakarta.
As for the entry-level Realme C1, the base variant with 2GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage is listed at IDR 1,499,000. However, the device is available at IDR 1,399,000, under a special deal.
This is the first time Realme has taken its devices outside the Indian shores. The company is reportedly planning to launch the Realme 2 series in Vietnam and Malaysia by the end of the month.
Realme 2, Realme 2 Pro, Realme C1 Specifications
The second generation of the Realme smartphones started with the launch Realme 2. The device features a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display with 720 x 1520 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, paired with 3GB/4GB RAM. In the imaging department, the Realme 2 features 13MP + 2MP dual-camera set up at the back. On the front, the device houses an 8MP camera for selfies and video calling. The Realme 2 is fuelled by a massive 4230mAh battery and runs on Android 8.1 operating system with Oppo’s ColorOS 5.1.
The Realme 2 Pro is the upgraded version of the Realme 2. The smartphone features a 6.3-inch display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, and a dewdrop notch at the top. The Realme C1, on the other hand, features a 6.2 inches-display with a 720 x 1520 pixels resolution and a notch at the top.
Under the hood, the Realme 2 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 660 Chipset while the budget smartphone Realme C1 packs a Snapdragon 450 chipset. In the imaging department, the Realme 2 Pro features a 16MP + 2MP dual camera set up at the back and a 16MP camera at the front. The Realme C1 also comes with a dual-camera set up featuring a 13MP + 2MP combination. The front of the device bears a 5MP unit for selfies. Both the Realme 2 Pro and the Realme C1 run on Android 8.1 (Oreo)– based ColorOS 5.1 version out of the box. Although, the Realme 2 Pro is the most upgraded variant in the lineup, it features a relatively smaller 3500 mAh battery. While the Realme C1 packs a 4230 mAh battery, which we see on the Realme 2.
