Realme is reportedly working on the upcoming Realme GT Neo 6 and Realme 12 Pro series smartphones in China. Digital Chat Station, a well-known tipster on Weibo, recently divulged the chipset and pricing of the upcoming Realme GT Neo 6 smartphone. The tipster has also revealed details about the launch timeline of the GT Neo 6 and Realme 12 Pro series smartphones through a new post on Weibo.
Digital Chat Station reveals that Realme will debut the Realme GT Neo 6 smartphone after the 2024 Chinese Spring Festival. The 2024 Chinese Spring Festival is popularly known as Chinese New Year and will begin on February 10.
Realme is likely to debut the forthcoming GT Neo series smartphones at the end of February. The tipster recently divulged that the upcoming GT Neo 6 will sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The smartphone is tipped to equip a metallic middle frame instead of a plastic frame found on other smartphones in the segment.
Realme will price the upcoming GT Neo smartphone at RMB 2,000 (approx. Rs 23,000). DCS adds that Realme will launch the Realme 12 Pro series smartphones in the first half of 2024. To recall, Realme launched the Realme 11 series smartphones in May 2023 in China.
The upcoming Realme 12 Pro+ is tipped to equip a periscope telephoto sensor similar to the Realme GT 5 Pro smartphone. Realme will equip the device with a 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom.
OnePlus and iQOO recently launched its flagship smartphones with the same OV64B periscope sensor. The forthcoming Realme 12 Pro will sport a 32MP Sony IMX 709 telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom.
A previous leak claimed that Realme will equip the vanilla Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ smartphones with Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC.
The upcoming smartphones will run on Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 out of the box. Digital Chat Station previously revealed that Realme will debut the smartphones at RMB 2,099 (approx. Rs 25,000) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The leaked render of the device confirmed that Realme will continue to equip the upcoming smartphones with a circular camera design.
