Realme is all set to unveil its Note 50 series in the coming days. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has three more devices in the pipeline under the new Note series. But interestingly, these devices will not make their way to the Indian market.

Recently, Chase Xu, Vice President of Realme and President of Realme Global Marketing, shared a post on X listing out the countries where the new series will launch. “We are about to launch our “Note” in the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Italy, Bangladesh and Myanmar,” he wrote on X. Unfortunately, the list doesn’t include India.

Moreover, Realme’s CEO Francis Wong, has already revealed that the first Note smartphone will debut in the Philippines on January 23, followed by two more releases. The series will focus on the sub-$100/€100 (around Rs 8,000) price range, positioning it below mid-range offerings.

Realme anticipates that the Note series will appeal to consumers who prefer hands-on experiences before purchasing. With India being a predominantly online market, Realme sees this as an opportunity to leverage its existing portfolio. The company already has a sub brand called Narzo which primarily focuses on mid-range and entry-level smartphones.

Despite skipping India for the Note series, Realme has set an ambitious sales target of 10 million units in 2024. The company is confident in the Note series’ superior build quality, promising unique designs and premium materials.

Realme aims to address common issues with entry-level devices, such as quality control and will also offer enhanced after-sales support. While specific software support details are undisclosed, Realme is committing to longer warranties and more frequent updates compared to rivals.

As Realme expands globally, it remains to be seen how the absence of the Note series will impact the company’s position in the fiercely competitive Indian market.
