Xiaomi has launched a new Redmi smartphone under the number series in Malaysia. The Redmi 10C is a new budget smartphone offering from the Xiaomi sub-brand. It comes with a 6.71-inch display at the front. The phone has a plastic build and comes in three colours.
The Redmi 10C is essentially a rebadged Redmi 10 launched in India earlier this month. The phone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. Redmi has launched the 10C as its new number series budget smartphone in Malaysia. The pricing details of the phone are currently under wraps. Redmi is expected to announce the pricing details of its new budget smartphone soon. The phone comes with a starting price of Rs 10,999 for the base 4GB + 64GB storage option under the Redmi 10 branding.
In Malaysia, the phone gets 4GB of RAM as standard with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage. The device comes in Graphite Gray, Mint Green and Ocean Blue colours.
Specifications and Features
Redmi 10C features a 6.71-inch IPS LCD with an HD+ resolution of 720 X 1600 pixels. There is a waterdrop notch at the top of the display for the front camera. Redmi has packed a 5MP selfie camera inside the notch.
The IPS LCD has a standard 60Hz refresh rate support. It comes with a 5000 mAh battery under the hood with support for 18W fast charging out of the box. The device has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and support for AI face unlock.
There is a Snapdragon 680 SoC under the hood. The processor is paired with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. Users can expand storage via a microSD card. The phone also retains the 3.5mm headphone jack.
On the back, there is a dual-camera setup. The phone has a 50MP main camera sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. The LED flash is located inside the camera module. Lastly, the phone boots Android 11-based MIUI 13 out of the box.
