A new leak by tipster Mukul Sharma claims that the 12C will debut in India in the coming weeks. The tipster also revealed that Xiaomi might launch a new Note 12 series phone in India and other markets.

The Redmi 12C will be one of the most affordable smartphones from the company. The phone is expected to arrive later this month in global markets. Sharma did not reveal the launch timeline but confirmed that the phone will launch in India. Considering the phone is available in China, it is likely to launch in India and other markets with the same hardware.
The 12C will be a 4G smartphone. It features a tall 6.71-inch IPS LCD with an HD+ resolution of 1650×720 pixels. The phone has a waterdrop notch at the top for the front camera. It also has a standard 60Hz refresh rate screen with a thick chin bezel.
The phone has been launched in China with 128GB of storage. It is expected to be available with the same storage configuration in various markets. There is also support for a microSD card up to 512GB.
