Redmi 9i finally makes its way to the Indian smartphone market today. The smartphone joins the Redmi 9, Redmi 9A, and the Redmi 9 prime family, which were launched between August and September this year. The Redmi 9i comes with highlighted features like MediaTek processor, single rear camera setup, big battery, and more. Here’s a closer look at the specifications, features, price, and sale date of the smartphone.

 

Redmi 9i India Price and Sale Date

The Redmi 9i in India is priced at Rs 8,299 for the base variant 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. While the top-end model with 4GB RAM + 128GB onboard storage will cost your Rs 9,299. The smartphone will be available in Midnight Black, Sea Blue, and Nature Green colour options. The company confirmed that the phone will be up for grabs starting September 18th at 12 PM via e-commerce site Flipkart and Mi.com. You can also purchase the smartphone via offline Xiaomi partners.

 

Redmi 9i Specifications and Features

The Redmi 9i draws power from the octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 SoC, clubbed with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. The entry-level handset is fuelled by a massive 5,000mAh non-removable battery with 10W fast charging support.

 

The smartphone packs a 6.53-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, 1,500:1 contrast ratio, and 270 nits peak brightness. It also features a waterdrop notch design which houses a 5-megapixel camera setup for selfies and video calls. At the back, it sports a single 13-megapixel rear camera module with f/2.2 aperture, along with an LED Flash.

 

On the connectivity front, the Redmi 9i offers VoWiFi, 4G, VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a Micro-USB port for charging. It also comes with a built-in gyro sensor, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and e-compass. The smartphone comes with a dimension of 164.9×77.07x9mm and weighs 194 grams.
