Xiaomi, earlier today, finally announced the launch of its new flagship-grade K-Series smartphone — the Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro. The launch of the new handset comes a few months after the company launched its less-expensive sibling in the form of the Redmi K30, which came with mid-range specs. Over the past few weeks, we have already learned quite a bit as far as the specifications of the K30 Pro goes. However, some of the key aspects still remained in the dark. That is no longer the case. Note that Xiaomi has come up with two versions of the phone  — a standard K30 Pro 5G and the K30 Pro Zoom Edition

Redmi K30 Pro Price

In China, the Redmi K30 Pro will be offered in the following variants and price combinations.

Redmi K30 Pro

The handset will go on sale starting March 27, 2020.

Redmi K30 Pro Camera

The Redmi K30 Pro features a large 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a peak brightness of 1200 nits. The display also supports HDR 10 content and also boasts of an enhanced auto-brightness feature. The handset is also certified by TÜV Rheinland Global for its Eye Protection features. Apart from this, the display also boasts of 180Hz touch sampling rate for enhanced response times. The, however, continues to ship with a standard 60Hz display.

The phone comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, which also integrates a 5G ready modem. As observed in the price list above, the handset comes in multiple RAM and storage versions with the base model starting at 6GB RAM and 128GB storage and the top-end variants offering up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The internal storage uses fast UFS 3.1 technology that ensures fast data transfer speeds. The RAM is also of the LPDDR5 type.

The camera setup on the Redmi K30 Pro differs slightly depending on the variant you go for. Both the variants feature a 64MP primary camera. The standard variant gets a 13MP ultrawide angle camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 5MP telephoto macro camera with a 50mm lens. As for the Zoom Edition, this variant gets a secondary 8-megapixel telephoto camera that supports up to 30x digital zoom with support for four-axis OIS in place of the 5MP macro camera. The primary camera on the K30 Pro Zoom Edition also gets OIS. Both the variants get a 20MP front-facing pop-up camera.

The phone also gets a 4700 mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. On the connectivity front, the handset supports Wi-Fi 6, 5G Bluetooth and USB Type-C. The device weighs around 219g and is relatively thin at 9mm.

As for a prospective India launch, chances are high that Xiaomi will launch this device as the POCO F2 in India.
